It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Yep, the holiday season is fast approaching! Stores are filled with Christmas displays and television is loaded with those cheesy holiday commercials. Even though it's super hectic, I can't help but LOVE the November and December months. They're just so much fun!

Anyway, today was the first day of the Fall Food Drive. We collected approximately 350 cans today; not bad for the first day. Hopefully, we'll get more cans tomorrow! Emily has been opening up to me. She was really shy at the beginning, but now we're actually talking and cooperating together. Today we went to the nearby elementary school and collected cans from there. Then we went around the adjacent neighborhoods and asked for donations. Not many people were home, but those that were donated at least 1 can, which was very helpful of them.

With Thanksgiving a little over a week away, school has been pretty relaxed. We didn't have much homework tonight (YAY!) and tomorrow my friend Molly says there might be none! All the teachers seem to be doing in class is fall and Thanksgiving crafts, recipes, and movies. I do like school, but, well...who doesn't like watching movies more than solving a bunch of algebra problems?

I hope all of you are having a great week! Happy Thanksgiving :-)

Mad

Madi has left FMSG and has now started school at Madame Montez, where Nellie (key word here!) used to go. As I said in my previous post, someone was coming to FMSG in Madi's place. That someone was none other than Nellie O'Malley, the most annoying girl I've ever met. Why she wanted to go to FMSG after making fun of it at the theater the day I found out about Madi's move, I did not know. So, when I saw her big, white limousine pull into FMSG I decided to go ask myself.
"Nellie!" I nearly shouted. "What on Earth are you doing here? I thought you hated Frosted Meadows?"
"Oh, Cali, what ever gave you that idea?" Nellie laughed, sarcastically.
I felt like I was going to burst.
"Um, you told me you hated it the last time we talked," I said.
"Cali, calm down. This was all part of my plan. Persuade Madison to move to MM: CHECK! Transfer to FMSG: CHECK! Annoy Cali 24/7: a work in progress. That should explain everything!" Nellie smirked.
"Uhh!" That was all I could and wanted to say. The only way to stop Nellie from annoying the heck out of me was to pretend I didn't care...even if I really did.
And here I am now, taking my anger out on Sunny's laptop, typing away. Something has to be done with that girl, and I'm determined to get whatever that is done. Nellie O'Malley needs to get taught a lesson!
I think I might even have the perfect idea! It won't be anything that'll make her feel embarrassed or anything mean. I'm just going to stand up to her!

School Elections???

Yep, the FMSG elections begin next week and then the week after that (the day before Halloween) the actual votes are cast. Everyone who wants to run has to notify Assistant Principal Johannsen and get signatures of approval from all their teachers by Friday. Noelle, Jane, and even Gwen are pestering me to run, but I'm not so sure. I mean, am I really presidential material?

Who's Running for What (as of today):
Secretary: Samantha Parkington
Rebecca Rubin
Treasurer: Noelle Greene
Molly McIntire
Vice-president: Elizabeth Cole
Julie Albright
President: Kirsten Larson

If I don't decide to run Kirsten will win just because no one else volunteered. Kirsten is nice and all but she can get sort of bossy. She says it's just because she cares about things, but I think she's just a natural leader. Maybe I should run. What do you think?

Madi is obviously not running because of the fact she's moving in only 2 weeks! I am so sad. Losing my best friend feels terrible. :-( I just wish there was something I could do to let her know that even though we won't be at the same school, we're still going to stay friends...

Bye!!! Updates on the election will be posted soon :-)

THE NEW DOLLS ARE HERE!!!

It seems like everyone is going crazy over the new AG stuff and it's no surprise! Sunny thinks a lot of the new JLYs are adorable (red hair green eyes and black/brown hair green eyes are her favorites!) and a few of the new outfits she really likes as well. She's been loaded with homework so she hasn't seen the historical outfits yet but she wants to as soon as possible. I totally was not suspecting AG to come out with about 20 new dolls! It's just awesome! Now Sunny is unsure of what doll to buy- she still wants Rebecca but the red haired, green eyed AG doll is a doll she's really considering getting since it looks nothing like any of the other dolls she and her sis own. Choosing the right doll is really hard, I guess!

Anyway, my school picturess were today and I think mine turned out okay. What do you think?
School's been pretty good. I like all my classmates! Senora Montoya is very nice and funny! And most importantly, I am having fun! Today we did a science lab where we had to dissect owl pellets with little tweezer things and we had to wear plastic gloves. It was kind of gross (okay, REALLY gross) but at least it was interesting!

Fall Is In The Air!

Fall is close. I can just tell. I LOVE fall for two reasons: 1) my birthday is in fall and 2) I love how it's not too hot and not too cold during the day. With Fall also comes Sunny's birthday which is in about 3 weeks and Halloween. I still don't know what I'm going to be but I'm leaning towards something sort of creepy. Last year I was an angel fairy thing and I like to mix it up a bit and be something monster-y every other year. Have any suggestions??

Another great thing about Fall is the new JLY releases! Sunny has been going nuts because (after reading Avery V.'s post) she discovered that AG is coming out with a red haired, green eyed doll besides Felicity. She really wants that doll now ;-) Also I hear that some new Rebecca items are coming out! Yay! Sunny thinks Rebecca sort of looks like me but I really don't see the resemblance... do you???

School pictures are on Thursday...yay! I love school pictures. Sunny says this is probably because I am so photogenic (did I spell that right?). She wants me to wear something nice so I will probably wear my pink tye-died dress with a white jacket. My grandma thinks that pink was made for #21's but I'm not so sure. I'm a blue-kind-of-girl at heart!

So that's pretty much all that's going on around here. Have a great day!!!

Back-To-School Shopping and Other Stuff ;-)

Howdy, fellow bloggers! It's Cali here. Today I went back-to-school shopping with Sunny and we got a bunch of stuff for Frosted Meadows. I like back-to-school shopping because I love looking for backpacks and lunchboxes and supplies- it's really fun! So far I've gotten a pink and white backpack, a Coca-Cola brand lunch box, a calculator, a pink Trapper-Keeper, a notebook and a new watch. I laid out all my new stuff on the floor of Sunny's bedroom (as well as my first day of school outfit but that will remain a secret!) and took a pic of it. I just love my lunch box and it was only a dollar from Target. Sunny said that that was a steal!
Also, I would like to announce the winner of my club name poll. The winner is....... the Drama Queens!!! Thanks to all of you who have voted and/or suggested names for the poll. They were all great ideas ;-) At our club meeting on Sunday afternoon we watched the Sound of Music and had popcorn. I couldn't get "16 Going On 17" out of my head the rest of the day! It was such a good movie/musical!
With school approaching Sunny has been getting more nervous than ever. She likes school but she has so much homework it can be overwhelming. I am going in to 6th Grade so I hope I have less homework than her. I'm not exactly the studious type... Anyways, I am working on a 6th Grade math booklet FMSG gave all the 5th Graders to prepare them for junior high over the summer. It's pretty much review but it still seems more hard than the stuff in 5th Grade. ;-(
Well, that's pretty much it. Later today I'm going shoe shopping (I need a new pair of sneakers) and then I have a Jazz Club practice. Bye!!! :-D
